Editing services are included in all book packages. For other editing work, I charge by the hour, and will give you an estimate after viewing your material and discussing it with you.
I edit to professional standards, as defined by the Editors’ Association of Canada, and to Chicago Manual of Style, APA, MLA, or Canadian Press specifications, as required. For books, I prepare manuscripts to meet the requirements for published books, as specified in the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th edition, in conjunction with Editing Canadian English, third edition, and The Canadian Style: A Guide to Writing and Editing.

assessing and shaping the material to improve its organization and content

editing to clarify meaning, improve flow, and smooth language
